Description of CD102 Recombinant Protein

General information on CD102 Recombinant Protein:

The intercellular adhesion molecule 2 (ICAM-2, CD102) belongs to the ICAM family and consists of three members, which are identified as ligands for integrin receptors. It is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein with two Ig-like C2-like domains and binds to the leukocyte integrins LFA-1 (CD11a / CD18) and Mac-1 (CD11b / CD18). As the second ligand of antigen 1 associated with leukocyte function, ICAM-2 acts as an effective cell costimulatory molecule. ICAM-2 is expressed primarily in vascular endothelial cells and hematopoietic cells. The interaction of ICAM-2 and the integrin receptor mediates cell adhesion of a wide range of lymphocytes, monocytes, natural lethal cells, and granulocytes to other cells, and plays an important role in many immune and inflammatory responses. For example, T lymphocyte aggregation, NK cytotoxic lymphocyte migration, lymphocyte recirculation, etc. ICAM-2 series levels are significantly related to inflammation and trichinosis disease sequence in mice, and have a similar relationship to blood eosinophilia. Therefore, assessing serum ICAM-2 levels can help diagnose a recent trichinosis infection and monitor prognosis and response to treatment.
