Description of Hemagglutinin(HA) Japan

General Information about Hemagglutinin(HA))

Hemagglutinin (HA) or hemagglutinin (BE) is an antigen glycoprotein found on the surface of influenza viruses. It is responsible for binding the virus to the cell being infected. The name “hemagglutinin” comes from the protein’s ability to cause red blood cells (red blood cells) to clump together (“agglutinate”) in vitro. The process is as follows: hemagglutinin (HA) binds to the monosaccharide sialic acid present on the surface of the target host cell. The cell membrane then phagocytos the virus and forms endosomes.
