Dynamic Metabolic Control (DMC) needed a highly specific antibody to detect its DAS+4 tag, a synthetic peptide used to trigger on-demand degradation of target enzymes in its metabolic engineering platform.
The key challenge: discriminating the synthetic tag from closely related native bacterial sequences. ProteoGenix developed a hybridoma-based anti-DAS+4 antibody enabling reliable quantification by Western blot and ELISA.
Choose the right antibody format
The right format depends on your target, intended application, performance requirements, timeline and budget.
Perfect for: Developing IVD diagnostics where reproducibility, high specificity, and regulatory readiness are critical.
Perfect for: Budget-friendly, fast discovery, and broad sensitivity.
Rabbit immunization is often the preferred strategy for diagnostic antibody development, particularly for challenging antigens that are difficult to target in rodents.
From optimization to production and labeling, continue your diagnostic or research project with the services you need for the next development stage.

“They adapted protocols to fit our budget without compromising quality. ProteoGenix’s degradation assay was a game-changer, giving us confidence in the antibodies’ specificity. Adjustments to immunization and antibody screening pipelines, along with regular GO/No-GO checkpoints and proactive communication, kept us confident and well-informed throughout the process.”
Dr. Robert Diez, COO
TELUM Therapeutics
“The key benefit of partnering with ProteoGenix was being able to hold scientific discussions with their expert team to explore the overall approach and methods, versus the ‘one size fits all’ approach offered by other providers.”
Michele Dilizia, Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Inventor
Recce Pharmaceuticals
“ProteoGenix has been an outstanding partner, with a customer service team that is responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in our projects.
The delivered antibody consistently shows excellent sensitivity and specificity, delivering robust, reproducible signals with minimal background across both ELISA and Western blot applications.
Combined with very competitive pricing and staying true to timeline obligations, ProteoGenix offers exceptional value, and we highly recommend them to any lab seeking reliable, bespoke, high-quality antibodies.”
