CHO (Chinese Hamster Ovary) cells are widely used for producing antibodies and recombinant proteins due to their suitability for large-scale suspension culture, high protein yields and mammalian post-translational modifications. In 1998, BioEngine pioneered the development of the first serum-free media for CHO cells in China, mastering key technologies for large-scale suspension culture and gaining invaluable project experience.
