Recombinant human CD253 is a 19.6 kDa protein consisting of 168 amino acids, corresponding to the TNF homologous region of the human TRAIL / ApoL2 extracellular domain. TNF-induced ligand apoptosis (TRAIL) is expressed in many tissues including spleen, lung, and prostate and can induce apoptosis depending on specific tumors. Apoptosis begins with the combination of two death receptors DR4 and DR5, which trigger cell death through the Caspian cascade. However, there are two types of ornamental receptors DcR1 and DcR2 that competitively bind to CD253, but do not induce apoptosis. The possible use of TRAIL as a therapeutic anticancer agent has been confirmed in numerous studies, which have shown that about two thirds of the tumor cell lines tested have tumoricidal activity. Recombinant human CD253 is a rabbit immunogen used to produce anti-human CD253.
